Tinubu has initiated a scheme to open 9,000 petrol stations on Monday to subsidize fuel for the public. The federal government has been seeking advice on opening these within the next ten months under Nigeria's jurisdiction. These petrol stations will play a role in reducing the cost of providing gas.

The head of the Gas Authority in Nigeria (NGEP), Mohammed Ibrahim, has stated that the scheme has made progress. As reported by Legit.ng, Ibrahim said the 9,000 petrol stations under Tinubu will start soon without delay.

The authority clarified that they are not concerned about the images used in the report. Ibrahim revealed that the scheme collaborated with stakeholders in Lagos to inform the public about how they can benefit from the fuel subsidy.

The NGEP announced that they have made efforts to pay 250 billion Naira at the CBN.

Daily Trust reported that gas is one of the commodities used in Nigeria because of its speed and efficiency.

In an interview with Ibrahim, he said the government will promote gas to benefit all the citizens suffering from poverty in the country. The program will be rolled out within the next six months.
